Banksia is the final painting from my Field Notes Collection.
Banksia is an outlier in the collection. I have always loved banksia and have spent a lot of time drawing the seed pods. I brought some banksia blossom back from NSW after my birthday trip in May. They featured in one of my still life paintings and I drew them over and over as I tried to understand them.
I loved making this piece and am so happy I finished the collection with one this size
Banksia is 120×120×4cm, framed in meranti the framed size is 122×122×6.8cm
Ready to hang
