Stocks and Statice III
This 60x60x4cm original acrylic painting on cradled ply panel, framed in a deep light pine float tray frame, is part of a mini-series created during my residency at The Acres. Over six months, I drew weekly in my sketchbook, capturing flowers in ink with crayon accents.
Stocks and Statice III is one panel from a mini-series of triptychs painted during my residency at The Acres. This work draws on flowers with personal significance—delphiniums my father grew, anemones given to my grandmother, and stocks loved by my mother. The paintings were created together but function beautifully as standalone pieces. The studio work reflects the lushness of the flower paddocks and the textures of mulched beds against vibrant blooms.
