This painting is part of a series developed in the studio from observational drawings made of the ground in my garden. I have been interested in small, overlooked and natural treasures for many years. They have appeared in my work many times as an echoing theme. Using objects such as leaves, sticks and stones as totemic devices provides me with an emotional and spiritual grounding.
This is an original painting, created with acrylic on a ply-cradled panel. Measuring 40x40x2cm. The painting comes framed in a simple natural pine tray/float frame with D rings and wire attached it is ready to hang.
