Backyard is part of a series of paintings developed in my studio from observational drawings made in my garden.
I live on a large rural property in SE Queensland which we moved a house onto. Over a decade we have worked to transform a former cow paddock into a subtropical garden. The La Nina rains of 2021 and 2022 encouraged abundant growth and the garden is now lush.
30x30x0.7cm acrylic on ply, framed in a simple light pine frame, d rings and wore attached ready to hang
